I'm going to ask the dumb question. Do you mean for banners? Because mine work fine, even before I found the upload feature.

haha it's not a dumb question, but yes, that's what I mean. I'm not sure why it doesn't work. On LJ, there was a third tab on the picture uploader where I could "Browse" photos already on my desktop, and that was always what I used. Now it just says URL, so I don't know how to do that.

I tried just dropping the image into the text box, but while it shows up in the text box, it doesn't show up when I post the entry. No idea what to do.

I used mainly URL's, but that being said, if 552158 is emailing them to you, I'm not sure this will work.

But... most banner makers have their own photobucket/online image storage (and I know 552158 does), so try right-clicking the banner and selecting 'copy image location'. Paste that URL into the field on the post, then click the cursor somewhere else, then press okay.

I'm not sure if that made sense, but the reason I say to click elsewhere, but not type anything, is because I tried attaching a banner after pasting the URL and pressing okay and it didn't work. It's fickle like that.

If that doesn't work, I'm sure 552158 would be willing to load the banner for you so you won't need your own account.

Oh, and in case you don't know about this already, you can essentially copy and paste what you have posted on your LJ thus far with this link: https://www.dreamwidth.org/tools/importer

(If the link fails, it's under organize--> import content)

You will have to update any links, which I know sounds tedious, but it saves you copy/pasting everything from another source and doing all of your formatting. Or at least ideally it does.

thank you! You're an absolute doll. That is very helpful. (It didn't even occur to me to ask 552158–I'll be sure to do that.)

And the importer is a very helpful tip, too. I'm about to go check that out!
