So
here's the thing, I have been thinking back on one of my earlier Chloe/Oliver stories titled Identity Crises which I posted on FFN.  The story was one of my more popular, based on nothing more than amount of feedback, but overall, I really don't think it was that good.  (Poor ending, plausibility issues, etc.)  The overall plot concept, however, won't quite leave me alone, that is, the idea of Chloe being in love with the Green Arrow and not knowing his identity.  I've recently been considering doing a rewrite--and I use the term very liberally.  It would not be an exact remake of the first story, it would be more like a remake of the idea, different overall, but ultimately the same basic concept.

Now, I'm currently putting most of my creative energies into finishing
Harleen--which feels like it will take the rest of my life--so this wouldn't come to fruition any time soon.  What I'm wondering is whether or not people would be interested in this?  Is it something you would want to read or are you already bored by the idea of my recycling plot points?  Let me know one way or another; I would like to be able to take it into consideration.

Thanks,
Blue

I don't comment often but I just wanted to say - I would read anything you write.

thanks! inadvertently, I think, you make a good point. There's a good chance that the audience on LJ varies enough that there will be plenty of people who haven't read the first one.

So -- you're talking more of a reboot than a rewrite?

I remember reading that story -- I'd read a reboot/new and improved version of it when you got around to it.

I haven't been reading much fanfic lately - hectic life, etc. blah blah blah - but I've meant to comment on your Harleen chapters. I've been reading those and enjoying them muchly! So keep up the good work, they're really compelling. However long it takes, I'm glad to read finishing that story is a priority of yours. I love Bruce Wayne fics.

Also, I think I read Identity Crisis over on FF.net before you moved over here and it'd be an excellent candidate to reboot, if I'm thinking of the right story: the one I'm thinking of is where Chloe gets physically involved with Green Arrow first, then slowly becomes friends and more with Ollie, not knowing they're the same, and she's all conflicted about it? I liked the inherent angst potential in that story, I remember. Plus the smut potential since Green Arrow is extra fine because of the leather outfit. Hee.

I'd read a reboot of that idea.

I'm so glad you're enjoying Harleen! Thank you! I'm enjoying writing it, but it's definitely been more difficult for me than usual, so I strongly appreciate the praise.

You are thinking of the correct story, and yeah, I think the idea does have potential, too, so I'm glad I'm not alone. Thanks for taking the time to let me know!

Aw thank you. That's always really nice to hear.

As for my reviews, I'm afraid I've fallen so far behind on that (last semester got really crazy for me toward the end), so the likelihood that I'll continue them is slim, but at the same time, never say never. I may yet get around to it, but I don't want to make you any promises. Thanks for mentioning it, though. :)

I loved the idea (and the story). So if you were to remake, I'd be reading it in any case :D

I read the first one and it was good so I guess I have no opinion on if you want to write another.

Speaking of going back to old fics... any chance An Exceptional Young Woman is ever going to get that "Reunion" sequel you said you were probably going to do?

I guess it's pretty much a done deal that people would read it, if you wrote it. And I'm pretty much on the same boat, I really think that sometimes a reboot of an old idea brings something new and fresh that people can appreciate. I'm really looking forward to it!

Well, at this moment i don't remember very well this story so this would be very good for me if you "rewrite" this story, i would't have a problem to compare both storie, i is distracting when i read some story...

So my vote is "interesting"....
