Admittedly, I saw the movie at midnight the other day, so the details were not fresh in my mind. But now that you've mentioned it, I completely agree on the music front. I thought the same thing in the opening logo scene, and you make a great point about some of the more dramatic scenes. Better musical score could have greatly aided them.
While I loved Harry and Ginny in the book (mostly), I was never a huge fan of their chemistry in the films. It always seemed a bit forced and awkward to me (as with most of Harry's romances, if we're being honest), but I think it is incredibly telling that as I was writing this review, I didn't even remember to mention Ginny. Clearly her role was neither as prominent nor as memorable as it should have been.
And finally, good catch on the 3D! I completely neglected to mention that I did NOT see the film in 3D. In my personal opinion, 3D is never worth the price of the tickets, but I should have mentioned that when I discussed the effects because that does play a big part in that regard.
